A Chance

From the balcony of my house
I saw an energetic rooster,
Covered with black and white dots

It was wandering in the path,
Here and there across

It was the time for breakfast
And I went to to have,

Suddenly there was a howl,
From the cock,
Which was shocked

As I peeped through the gap,
There was a black dog,
With big sharp claws

It was nearing the rooster,
Through a slow walk

I shooed away that dog,
And threw a bottle from the top
With an unexpected disappointment,
The dog retreated, fast

I could sense the relief
Which that cock had,
It went back to its place
And crowed along other cocks
