Dried Green

(Voice of a falling leaf from a tree)

It’s been months since I sprouted
And today, it’s time to bid adieu from this tree

I remember the days when I looked bright,
Without any damages on either side

Being a part of this tree,
I always had happiness and pride

Especially during rains,
When there was a gentle breeze

Today I have to land,
In the surface of the sand

There is agony inside me
But I have to depart,

Alas, finally I am falling down,
In-between the broad path

A lifeless dried leaf,
That’s how I will be called
