Glass Tank

The four walls around,
Were surrounded by glass
On the top of that,
Had a wooden plank

The water was in level,
Clean And clear
So that we could swim,
Without any hurdles

Pebbles and marbles,
Adorned our home
A peaceful place,
That’s where we grown

We were a group of ten,
All of us had beautiful fins
Our body shimmered like the gold,
Orange tints played a major role

Though there were joy,
Inside this tank
We all had a desire,
To swim in a pond

There were no means,
Yet, we had that dream
Months passed on,
Now we swim in a stream
