Final Rest

In a wide hall,
They have laid me across
Though my eyes are closed,
I can see everyone from the box

My daughters and sons are still shedding tears,
Arrangements are being made for my final departure,
Although I realise my breath has stopped,
I find it hard to accept that fact

Relatives are quite busy with their talks
Kids play around making fun and laughs
My friends are painfully bidding adieu
And neighbours pay their final tribute

I am now remembering those days,
Where I had also been in their place
I have mourned others’ loss,
Today it’s my turn to rest in the dark.
