Taking occasional breaks from the fast-paced life can bring out many positive changes to our mind and body. But how often do we think of taking breaks from our daily routines?

Taking regular pauses from work can help in stress reduction, mood enhancement and to cultivate positive thoughts.

Not just in psychological terms, but this also helps in improving our physical health such as improving sleep quality and regulating stress harmones.

Recently, I happened to visit a beautiful place named Puliyur, a village in South India located in the Krishnagiri district, Pochampalli taluk.

I want to share my personal experiences through this blog post about how this journey and the place helped me to realise the necessity of taking these intervals from my routine life.

In this digital world, we often communicate with our relations through digital mediums rather than meeting them in person.

But this trip helped us to spend quality time with each other. The family get-together hasn’t just given beautiful memories, but also helped in strengthening our relationship and bonds.

The village had many lush farming fields and serene spots like second biggest lake of Tamil Nadu, Barur lake and one of the famous Indian rivers, the South Pennar River (Thenpennai). Local cultural festival celebrations and the journeys we took to meet our relations gave us a memorable experience.

Exploring luxury places to spend your vacation can give you excitement. But visiting places that represent the essence of simplicity and beauty can give tranquillity and refreshment.

Travelling to such places can also help in increasing productivity and concentration, apart from improving well-being.

Thus, no matter how much we are occupied with work and responsibilities, we should understand the importance and necessity of taking proper rest for our mind and body at regular intervals.
