Why are women in these modern times focusing on empowering themselves?

Often, questions arise to many about why, in those days, women were given minimal chance to explore the outside world and why the current generation of women stresses so much about empowering themselves.
Years ago, the role of women in society was mostly confined inside the four walls of their homes. They compromised their lives, sacrificed their dreams, and fully dedicated themselves to handling family responsibilities.

Because of this, they received compassion and respect, as they were not competitive with men in terms of careers and positions.
As generations pass by, women have a keen interest in pursuing their desired education, excelling in various fields, and exploring opportunities.

They are looking for chances to improve themselves in all the aspects and mainly focus on elevating their personal growth in terms of education, career, financial independence, and passion.
But this transformation is seen as competitive these days, and thus women are obliged to show the world that they deserve to be respected because of their capabilities.
Although there are patriarchies and societal stereotypes that still exist in our society, the thoughts and actions of women regarding empowering themselves are gradually changing positively when compared to previous eras.
Instead of creating unnecessary differences and misunderstandings, this positive change needs to be thoroughly appreciated, anticipated and supported by every individual of the community.
